Hunting Wagon RDR2 allows pelts and hunted animals to be stored on the back of a hunting wagon. The hunting wagon will spawn at your camp, and you may find it with the map or radar.

Version 1.1

  • Added a menu to customize the hunting wagon. Open using Z on keyboard or LS/L3 on pad when near the wagon or player camp fire. Check mod description for full details.
  • Added call for wagon to the menu and a setting to enable it when doing a long whistle.
  • Hunting Wagon position is now saved when you exit the wagon.
  • Added default wagon lanterns.

  • Wagon now spawns at camp on game load, unless you are on an unsupported version. Then you will have to be close to a camp before it shows up.
  • Blip no longer shows as “mission” (yellow). Now plain white.
  • Fixed a case where wagon could spawn under map.

DESCRIPTIONS

Menu features

Menu prompts appear on the portable camp fire menu and the one in camp where you can craft.
Call for Wagon – spawns a wagon near your current location on a nearby road.
Send to Camp – When you no longer require the wagon and wish to have it returned to your camp. Everything in the wagon will be destroyed.

Wagon is at camp – A menu prompt appears when you are near the Hunting Wagon.
Wagon Replacement – Replace the wagon with a different type. At the moment, only wagons with doors are supported.
Change the lanterns and the wagon style for supported wagons. Style has been relegated to the wagon.
Repair – Restore the wagon's health.
Open and close the wagon's back door.

Settings

Long Whistle for Wagon – Hold down the whistle (default H/Dpad up) for longer than usual to spawn wagon at a nearby road (Same as Call for Wagon).
Reset All Saved Settings – Resets wagon styles & settings to default.

Settings are saved to \Documents\Rockstar Games\Red Dead Redemption 2\hunting_wagon.ini

CONTROLS

When holding a pelt/animal, hold down the “Stow” prompt when close to the hunting wagon (around the back) (default keys E & X/Square on controller). This is only possible on the hunting wagon that spawns at your camp. It is ineffective on other wagons.

To access the Hunting Wagon menu, press Z on the keyboard or LS/L3 on the pad while near the wagon or player camp fire.

INSTALLATION

  1. Install the latest Script Hook RDR2 copy both dinput8.dll & ScriptHookRDR2.dll and place them into the root of your the Red Dead Redemption 2 install folder.
  2. Install Hunting Wagon by extracting hunting_wagon.asi and placing it into the root of your Red Dead Redemption 2 install folder.
